Kahurangi is an electrical apprentice and solar installer for Tū Mai Rā Energy.

Kahurangi’s previous work includes a wide range of experience from residential building to commercial construction. He has been a part of the Tū Mai Rā Energy whanau for just over a year and has already traveled all over the North Island helping complete solar installations for whānau in need to large scale solar systems for commercial businesses.

Kahurangi is also of Rangitāne decent and he is proud to have installed a solar system on his marae in Masterton (Te Ore Ore Marae).

Along with solar installations Kahurangi has completed a wide range of electrical work including wiring of houses. This is to ensure he can meet the requirements of his apprenticeship and become a qualified electrician.

Born and raised here in Tauranga Moana, Kahurangi is now raising a small father of his own. In his spare time Kahurangi enjoys making music, playing basketball and spending time with his whānau.
