Janet has worked in the energy sector for nearly 20 years across communications, and public affairs roles, where she has led work on complex commercial issues and thorny social licence, community and iwi relation matters. As a senior leader in her field, in addition to her governance work, Janet is Hamilton City Council’s General Manager Partnerships, Communications and Māori.

Janet further served six years on the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority in its growth phase of customer programme delivery and embedding energy efficiency as part of the Aotearoa ethos.

Her experience with Māori businesses, local government, and in the energy sector places her well to contribute to Tu Mai Ra Energy’s growth and customer focused strategy.
